Volunteer Spotlight: Victoria Cammarano

The Indiana Region of the American Red Cross would not be able to do what it does for the community without our wonderful volunteers. On this #ThankfulTuesday, we are shining the light on new volunteer Victoria Cammarano, who just started volunteering with the American Red Cross in May 2022! Victoria is also an intern at the Red Cross.

Victoria’s journey with the Red Cross started when she interviewed for three different organizations, in search for an internship. During her interviews, she met with a Red Cross recruiter and was inspired to become a Red Crosser. She credits her new team and the opportunity to find an internship that allowed her to center on helping people as a “dream come true.”

Victoria recently graduated as a student in Physician Assistant studies, and yearned to build interpersonal relationships with the people she cared for and helped.

“I feel this internship is providing me insight into communication and networking styles, which is something I’ll need to be an effective medical provider,” said Victoria Cammarano.

She attributes her favorite aspect of interning with the Red Cross to the time she gets to spend with different people. Her love of reaching out and talking about the Red Cross’ mission of serving communities in need speaks volumes to the value of volunteer work within the Red Cross.

We thank Victoria for all she’s done for the Red Cross and for helping lend positivity and a helping hand to the people and organizations the Red Cross connects with.
